How we rate games
Every catalogue rating uses the same criteria, applied across all 47 games. Here is what we assess, where our information comes from and how we handle figures a provider has not published.
Our five rating criteria
The score on each profile, such as 4.6 out of 5, is an editorial assessment. The SlotsRank editorial team weigh these five criteria after reviewing the game. Scores do not come from a fixed automatic formula. Similar games may receive different ratings when one performs better in an area below.
1. RTP and transparency
Theoretical return to player is a central figure in each profile. We give credit for clearly published official RTP data. When the provider has not confirmed it, the profile says so and the rating reflects the uncertainty.
2. Mechanics and control
We assess the choices available in each round: manual or automatic cash-out, double bets, partial cash-out and difficulty levels. Meaningful controls receive more credit than a game that offers no decisions during a round.
3. Verifiability
We give more weight to provably fair verification than to a certified RNG alone, because it lets players check individual rounds using hashes and seeds. Each profile states which system the game uses.
4. Demo and access
A free demo lets readers understand the mechanics without making a deposit. Where a game has no demo mode, we record that limitation in its pros and cons.
5. Mobile experience
For readers in India, we assess how the game works in a mobile browser: loading speed, whether an installation is required and whether its specifications match the desktop version.
Where our information comes from
Our primary sources are official documents from providers such as Spribe, SmartSoft, BGaming, Evolution and Galaxsys. We also consult game information displayed by the operator and describe the rules and pace of play. These sources do not confirm real-money availability or legality in India.
When sources disagree or no official source provides a figure, we mark the detail as unconfirmed and explain this in the profile. There are currently 36 catalogue entries with information awaiting review. The count changes as checks are completed.
Who writes the reviews
Blog guides are written by SlotsRank editorial team, Game catalogue editors. Game profiles are written by SlotsRank editorial team, Game catalogue editors at SlotsRank. Ratings cannot be bought. Affiliate links to 1win help fund the site, but do not change published RTP figures or the order of games in thecatalogue rankings. A higher commission does not earn a game a better rating.
Each profile shows these criteria in practice: a specifications table, pros and cons based on those details, and frequently asked questions with cited figures. To explore the numbers, the calculator explains the mathematics of a hypothetical round.
